Just stumbled across a very interesting article by Terry Synan called "Ned Kelly and Me - Part 2 Of Our Association" in Catholic Life Magazine. Not sure what happened to Part 1 as I cannot locate it, but this is of interest as he tells of visiting the old Kelly homestead and that "society folks" were allowed to do so..but is funny what the signal to leave was! ;)

I wish I could find the first part! Using the search terms I can only find the 2nd part! Someone told me they might ask some priests they know if they have earlier copies of the magazine. A long shot, but if they do find it I will transcribe it if they send me a scan. Fingers crossed! If all else fails maybe someone can find it at a library?

| Sharon, thank you for your find of the article in the Catholic weekly, at the moment I am staying with the Mercy Sisters up North at a little school for Aboriginals, spoke to them about the article, one of the Sisters aged 86 yrs. does keep the papers on her return from WA will hopefully have the 1st. part. I have just spoken to the wife of the author James Terry Synan. They live in Warrugul. She told me he has written two parts of Ned Kelly and Me, PART 1 and PART2.
She was amazed that it has generated so much interest. I am awaiting a call back and will find out about getting PART 1 for all to read.

Thanks to Joe for his sluething also! Joe sent me Part1 for uploading for all to read. I spoke to the author last Saturday night and he was sending me a copy by snail mail, but Joe beat the mailman!
I have sent the pdf of "Ned Kelly and Me - Part 1 Of Our Association" to Bruce for uploading (as I have no idea how to upload a file to the forum.)
