Brad Webb's www.Ironoutlaw.com has info on the book plus the book's content list
and
there will be a 'country' launch also for the book, at Tolmie (hosted at the Tolmie pub) most likely on Saturday 18 November afternoon/night, which will include re-enactment(s) in period costume etc etc. More info re this night will be available closer to the launch date of 11 Nov at the Celtic Club.

The publisher has advised me that pre-ordered books will be posted immediately after the book's launch on November 11. An 'invoice' will be enclosed with the book(s) for payment to be made... which will include an on-line way as well as the usual pay by cheque etc. The publisher will accept pre-orders up to the launch date. Launch is at the Celtic Club at 7.30pm Saturday 11 November.(Apart from the $29.95 softcover there will also be a limited number of hardcover books available on the night. The Tolmie book launch which will feature the Mansfield Colonial Re-enactment Society players will now be most likely early December, Saturday night at the Tolmie Inn. |

See new posting re book's launch CANCELLED. Due to late problems with the printer/book binders it was not possible to guarantee the book's availability for today's launch. A new date for its release, soon, will be advised. Thanks for your patience. Kelvyn. |

To all who want to have this book for Xmas....the publisher - High Country Times in Mansfield, and the book's distributor will be announcing a date for the book's release in the near future. They have told me that it will be available "in time for Xmas". Hang in there, its soon!! Cheers, Kelvyn and the post free offer is still available for the softcover - see order form above, or the hardcover at the price + postage above. |

Well, things move in mysterious ways in the publishing/distribution game.I have just received info re release: The distributor -Allen & Unwin - has set the release date as Monday 22 January 2007. It will be available in 'bookstores in all States' on this date. A launch date is not yet finalised, but it will be at the Celtic Club.I would guess it may be on the Friday or Saturday night prior to the release date and as soon as I know I'll post the info here. To those who have pre-ordered the book and hoped to have it by Xmas - sorry that it didn't eventuate. Merrry Xmas to all. Kelvyn |

And yet another small delay - the book was to be in bookshops on Monday 22nd, but the distributor -Allen & Unwin have also now been a bit slack - their reps are taking orders from the bookshops for the book from next Monday. I will be signing the pre-ordered copies next Wednesday - 24th so for those who have ordered the book, it isn't far away. The publisher, who has been both fighting and reporting on the fires around Mansfield/Tolmie/ Sheepyard Flat/Howqua Hills etc has been busy so this hasn't helped the schedule of release either. He has told me that he will most definitely be having a launch also but as yet hasn't set a date, it will be at the Celtic Club. Nearly there !! Thanks for your patience, I'm sure you will be pleased with the book when you get it. Cheers, Kelvyn |

Well, its now soon!! The book has been raedy for release now for quite a few weeks however due to major business re-arrangements of the publisher its release has been held up pending the finalisation of these matters.. now all completed. The launch will definitely be at the Celtic Club (and their web site will have details as soon as it is sorted out), there will also be a web site for the book and it will also have other material we will put on that didn't get into the book and other papers which I am sure will be of interest to a lot of you; the site will also enable payment to be made by those of you who have pre-orderd the book which will be posted so that it arrives to coincide as near as possible with the launch date. Payment by cheque and I think also by direct bank transfer will be available - all this info will be with your book and on the web site. BOOK PRE_ORDERS: If anyone wants to pre-order the book now, postage free in Australia is still part of it, then send your info to me and NOT the addresses incl the e-mail one on the pre-order form as the business addresses etc are no longer 'owned' by my publisher. Brian , Well all I can say at present is its not far away. I'm in the hands of the publisher and the book distributor to set the release date, and I'm told "that it will be soon". It will still be launched at the Celtic Club that much is definite. As soon as I can I will post release date etc here and e-mail all those I have an e-mail address for. |

Kelvyn my good man, I am anxious about the release of your book. Could you shed some light as to when "Edward Kelly : The Times of his Life 1820 – 1893' will finally hit the shelves? What is the hold up? I patiently await your reply. Max.

Max, thanks for the question. I am studiously now not making comment/predictions about a release date as things have a habit of getting delayed due to many reasons to do with publishing businesses/distributors etc etc but I remain optimistic about a release "soon". If you e-mail I will add you to my list so when something happens you will know. Cheers |

Dave, No. I am prepared to wait as I know the saga behind the slow progress which includes business takeovers, independent book publishers forming a new distribution organisation and other "interesting matters".
